Imagine your life on an historical island estate surrounded by native foliage and coconut trees, shushing in the easterly breezes; morning walks on a beach shared with only four other properties; jaunts to Rose Island on your boat, conveniently tethered to your private dock; gatherings with your favourite people on the spacious, tiered covered and uncovered verandahs, gazing out to the Bahama blue hued seas from the equally spacious, wraparound balcony. Everything about Stanley is grand yet understated, timeless elegance in the hub of east Nassau and yet one feels worlds away when standing at the top of the custom-made 1950s mahogany staircase or staring out at the incomparable views from the cherry wood lined study. Other bonus features: a wine cellar in the original limestone-walled basement (dates to 1780); 2 outdoor showers – one on the balcony and one near the beach; an 18th century carriage house converted into a 1 bedroom guest cottage with kitchenette & workshop, and a Bahama room opening on to a peaceful, shady back garden and pool.

About
Ashley’s passion for real estate stems from her family’s long-standing history in the business. Her great-grandfather, Harry McPherson, was one of the first real estate brokers in The Bahamas in the early 1900s. Inspired by her real estate broker relatives—great-grandfather Harry McPherson, grandfather Lester Brown, and father Ian Brown—Ashley decided to sit the real estate exam immediately after graduating university in 2011. She went on to obtain her real estate broker’s license at the age of 26, becoming the youngest realtor in The Bahamas to achieve the title. With a bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Ashley brings a wide range of knowledge to her real estate business including design, development, and sustainability. Ashley also holds an ASP home staging certification, giving her additional tools for preparing her client’s listings so that they are presented to the market in the best possible light and, as a result, sell at their highest possible value. With Ashley’s intimate knowledge of the real estate market and her dedication to serving each client’s unique real estate needs, Ashley strives for excellence by making the process of buying and selling real estate enjoyable from start to finish.
Outside of real estate, Ashley is passionate
about helping people in need. She started a local non-profit called
Bahamas Disaster Housing Assistance with a group of women in response to
Hurricane Dorian in September 2019. In the days and months immediately
following this historical storm, The Bahamas Disaster Housing Assistance
provided temporary, medium, and long-term housing assistance to
hundreds of people who lost their homes. When she isn’t selling real
estate or participating in philanthropic pursuits, Ashley loves
painting, traveling, and spending time on the boat island hopping.
